A CHRISTIAN MISSION
What We Believe
GOD – We believe there is one God who exists in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
JESUS – We believe that Jesus is the Son of God who was born of a virgin, was wholly God, and wholly man, lived a sinless life, died in our place as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind, was buried, arose bodily from the grave, and ascended into Heaven.
THE BIBLE – We believe in the Scripture, accepting fully the writings of the Old and New Testaments as the very word of God, verbally inspired in all parts; the Scriptures are infallible, inerrant, and authoritative rule for a life in faith.
SALVATION – We believe in salvation by grace through faith, that salvation is a free gift of God, not by any virtue or works of man, but received only by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; that all true believers possess the gift of eternal life, a perfect righteousness, sonship in the family of God, and the divine guarantee that they shall never perish.
PRAYER – We believe that each believer has direct access to God through the Lord Jesus Christ.
Many faces, one faith.
We are a diverse group of believers – united by our shared faith in a loving God.
Providing help to those want to break free from addictions and need a safe place to stay.
We are a stepping stone to a brighter future – giving people with addictions hope and a fresh start to a productive lifestyle through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
The Door of Hope Mission has been blessed since 1966 in providing help and hope to countless numbers of those whose lives seem to have been turned upside down. Whether by wrong choices, bad decisions or just circumstance, many find themselves in a position that in order to help themselves, they need to understand how to turn to God for His guidance, strength, and grace. This is no easy matter for someone who has never relied on God, nor one who was not raised to know Him. That's where the Door of Hope Mission can help.
The Mission provides for immediate physical needs -- including food, clothing, and shelter -- however, our programs are designed to lead the homeless to permanent independence built upon a personal relationship with Christ. Daily sermons, bible studies and housekeeping chores at the Mission help foster a relationship with others here which they learn, is based on biblical principles teaching the importance of truth, trust and love.
